If your agency runs on HawkSoft 6, you already know how central it is to daily operations. What many agencies have not yet set up is premium collection inside that same system. RevitPay's integration with HawkSoft 6 connects directly through the Marketplace, enabling automated payment processing that writes back to client records automatically. This guide walks through the complete setup process, what the integration does, and how to manage it going forward.

What the RevitPay + HawkSoft 6 Integration Does

Before walking through setup, it helps to understand what you are activating. The RevitPay integration creates a two-way data connection between your HawkSoft 6 database and RevitPay's payment processing platform. Once enabled, it delivers 4 operational improvements:

  • Same-day or next-day funding on collected premiums, improving cash flow reliability without changing how policyholders pay.
  • Automated reconciliation that syncs payment data directly to HawkSoft, eliminating manual posting and the rekeying errors that come with it.
  • Text-to-pay and email-to-pay capabilities, so agents can initiate the payment process from within their existing workflow.
  • Real-time payment status visibility and reporting accessible without leaving HawkSoft.

How to Enable RevitPay in HawkSoft 6: Step-by-Step

The setup process takes approximately 5 minutes and requires administrator credentials. Follow these steps in order:

  1. Step 1 — Log into HawkSoft 6: Access your HawkSoft 6 account using your administrator credentials. Standard user accounts do not have permission to configure Marketplace integrations.
  2. Step 2 — Navigate to Setup, then Marketplace: Click the Setup menu in the top navigation bar, then select Marketplace from the dropdown. Marketplace is listed near the bottom of the Setup menu, below Bridges.
  3. Step 3 — Open the RevitPay listing: Locate the RevitPay tile in the Marketplace. The listing is labeled 'Revitpay — Provided by Revitpay — API Partner' with the tagline 'Same-day funding and automated reconciliation — built into HawkSoft.'
  4. Step 4 — Click Share Data: Select the Share Data button on the RevitPay listing page to authorize the connection between systems. This opens the integration details and subscription confirmation screen.

API Permissions: What RevitPay Requests and Why

When you subscribe, you authorize RevitPay to access 3 specific functions in your HawkSoft database through the Partner API. These are the minimum permissions needed to run the integration:

  • Read Client Data: Allows RevitPay to match incoming premium payments to the correct policyholder in your HawkSoft database without manual lookups.
  • Create Logs, Attachments, and Tasks: Enables RevitPay to write payment confirmations and receipts directly into the client's HawkSoft record so every transaction is audit-ready.
  • Offset Open Invoices: When a policyholder pays through RevitPay, the corresponding open invoice in HawkSoft updates automatically without anyone on your staff touching it.

RevitPay does not request access to any other area of your HawkSoft database. Permission scope is limited to the 3 functions above.

What Changes After You Subscribe

Once the integration is active, your agency gains 4 operational capabilities that did not exist before:

  • Agents can send a payment link directly from a client record via text or email, initiating the payment process without leaving HawkSoft.
  • Completed payments post automatically to the client record as a log note, attachment, or task, depending on your configuration.
  • The agency receives same-day or next-day funding on collected premiums rather than waiting for standard settlement timelines.
  • Payment status is visible in real time, so agents can confirm coverage is active without calling the policyholder.

For agencies evaluating how this integration fits within a broader modernization of their billing operations, switching to online invoice payment processing covers the full operational picture of moving premium collection from paper-and-phone workflows to an integrated digital process.

Security and Compliance

RevitPay operates at PCI DSS Level 1, the highest certification level available for payment processors. The HawkSoft integration is designed with the following security properties:

  • No card data is stored locally on agency systems or within HawkSoft. Payment credentials are tokenized and held within RevitPay's PCI-compliant environment.
  • All data transmitted between HawkSoft and RevitPay is encrypted in transit.
  • The API permission model limits RevitPay's access to only the HawkSoft functions required for payment processing, with no access to policy underwriting data, carrier credentials, or other sensitive fields.

A complete overview of what PCI compliance means for agencies that store or transmit cardholder data is available in RevitPay's guide to PCI compliance, which covers what the standards require, what they protect against, and how the integration satisfies them.
